Sometimes we do get snow in Texas. Not every year, but it happens every once in a while. This year was a “snow year” for some parts of Texas (last year was one as well). It’s a big treat to get snow here in Texas.
We didn’t play outside, instead we just watched the snow fall 
. There wasn’t enough snow to build a snowman, and it melted too quickly for us to build one.
Actually, the snow started as rain, which turned to frozen rain and finally turning into snow sometime late morning. We ended up getting between 1 and 2 inches of snow.
Update:
Today is February 1 but we don’t have snow, we have frozen rain. Windy, very cold, and our driveway is icy. We’re not going out today!
