Landri and Larsen making snow angels
Today is Day 4 of a freezing rain/snow storm in Dallas. The roads are icy, and the temperatures have been in the 10s all week long. That means we have all been at home for most of the week, only venturing out of the house once for some needed groceries.
It all started Tuesday with freezing rain at 4:30 in the morning. Most schools in the area were closed because of the weather, including ours. This has been happening all week long, so we have had no school for the last 4 days. By the time Monday comes we would have been out of school for a total of 6 days. That’s almost a small vacation!
During that time we had 3 power outages, Landri and I had a playdate, and also found out Landri had an ear infection.
Today, it snowed at least 6 inches overnight and it is still snowing outside as I type this. We played in the snow for a little while this afternoon, and we’ll probably do it again after Landri wakes up from her nap.

Today is 2/9 as you can see at the bottom of this comment, but we are having snowstorm #3 as I type this. School’s closed today, so I’m stuck at home.
